C2 Craft Chemistry
Cayetano and I set up our spot at Craft Chemistry.....Wow this place is great. Briana has brought something new and hip to Syracuse (besides co-organizing the super successful Urban Art & Craft Market! ). I see this place being a huge opportunity for artists and crafters alike. Check it out and support the scene.

NEW BOOK and the unfolding darkness
So I think we put together a sweet little book. All the artists that contributed where really great and quick. Over all I think the book took about a month to really get the thing off the ground. It was a little confusing having both Isaac and I dealing with artists from like three different emails. We are definitely going to do another book. Hopefully we can make enough with this one to pay for this one and the next one. I don't doubt that will happen. I mean I loved seeing it all come together. Isaac did a lot of the leg work as far as laying images out and when he brought over the mock up I was surprised at how well everything went together. Screening the cover and envelops was really cool too. That was the step where the project came together for me. So yeah, I am really proud of this book.
Hat Factory has been gearing up for three shows in the month of October. The first was at a local gallery where we put together a group show and released the book. That same night we travelled up to Syracuse for another show at The Gear Factory. That place was hopping and I kinda wished we had concentrated on that spot although we would not have had the control of the show itself like we did for the Hat Factory show. (Sheesh all these factories it is hard to keep up) The next spot is the Salt City Urban Craft Fair on the 24th of the month. We will be selling prints, books and shirts. I am pretty stoked about it. I think I am going to get a bow tie to wear. Hope I see yall there. If you are going drop us a line or just come and say hi. We love meeting people.

New Cayetano V.
This is my first post on this blog. I Decided to show the process and finished design of my next screen print. First off, I am a little bit of a science nerd so I think going with an animal kingdom type thing was a natural first print. Now I have not really done too many screen prints before and this one is five colors. I may be over reaching but I don't think so. We willl see in the next week or two. As you can see from my sketch and the finished design there where a few changes. The empty block in the middle was tricky because I didn't want to fill in too much information but I didn't want just empty space either. I drew that falling woman like five times in five different ways. I ended up getting rid of her hand, redrawing the towers, and adding a ladybug. Pretty much, the design stayed very close to how I envisioned it from the beginning and that makes me a happy camper. Questions, comments?
